Lenovo seems to have developed a clear two-pronged strategy: for business, it leans on the knowhow and tradition it purchased from IBM with the demure Think line, and for the consumer end, it’s developed its own, oftentimes flamboyant, Idea range of computers. Prime example of the latter is the IdeaCentre A300 , which features an edge-to-edge glass screen, chrome accenting aplenty, and an unhealthily thin profile

Logic3 LCD ProDock adds LCD remote to iPod dock

Having reviewed JBL’s On Stage Micro II earlier this morning, we thought we’d seen the only interesting iPod dock of the day. It turns out, though, that Logic3 have a surprise up their sleeve; their LCD ProDock is a compact dock for the iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod classic that comes with a nifty, LCD-blessed remote control.

Pioneer shows off iPhone remote controllable Blu-ray players

The ” works with iPhone ” stamp has taken a whole new meaning for Pioneer as it’s just added two new Blu-ray players due in May featuring iControlAVR app support baked in. You won’t be taking advantage of the VSX-1020′s (VSA-1020 in Japan) 3D compatibility with the BDP-330 or higher end BDP-LX53, but owners will enjoy return of last year’s well-received Precision Quartz Lock System with the addition of YouTube streaming and RSS feeds.

Apple began including inline remote controls with its earbuds beginning with the introduction of the third-generation, buttonless iPod shuffle . However, some users complained that the controls were prone to failing after some time, resulting in an iPod shuffle that simply wouldn’t work. Now, Apple has identified a potential defect in the inline remotes that may cause this problem and has a new program for replacing defective headphones free of charge .
