Send your Gmail Attachments to Google Drive With a Click

Imagine this. You are reading a Gmail message on your mobile, the message contains one or more file attachments, you apply a label (say GoogleDrive ) to that message and automatically all those attachments are saved to one of the folders on your Google Drive. And since Google Drive will automatically synchronize with your desktop folders, the saved email attachments will instantly download and become available on your local disk as well for offline viewing.

Now Send Bigger Emails through Mail Merge

If you have been using my Mail Merge scripts in Gmail to send personalized emails to a large group of people, here’s one bit of news that may interest you. The maximum allowed size of file attachments that you can send through Google Docs (or Google Apps Script) has just been increased from 5 MB to 25 MB per message (see release notes ).

Google Surveys – A New Monetization Opportunity for Web Publishers

Google has introduced a new do-it-yourself product called Consumers Surveys to help businesses, big or small, perform targeted market research using online surveys. For instance, if you are planning to introduce a new dish in your restaurant, you can create a survey targeting residents of your area and those in a particular income group. In October 2010, Google launched a music portal in India to help people find “legal” songs from Bollywood films and music albums. Google partnered with three music companies – Saavn, Saregama and In.com – for the content and itself played the role of an aggregator. The music service is still available at google.co.in/music but it looks like Google has more or less abandoned the project
