“Now stop me if you’ve seen this.” And so Steve Jobs announced the iPhone 4. Featuring stainless steel all around and a glass front, the iPhone 4’s “closest kin is a beautiful old camera.” It’s 24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS at 9.3mm thick, and Apple claims it is the smallest smartphone on the planet or “a quarter thinner than something you didn’t think could get any thinner.” The three stainless steel bands surrounding the device are not only there for structural integrity, but are also part of the antenna system

ASUS always promised us a third version of their Eee PC T91 convertible touchscreen netbook – a 3G/GPS model to go alongside the regular and multitouch versions – but so far its proved scarce from store shelves. Arch netbook modder jkkmobile couldn’t stand the wait, and so he decided to hack his T91 to add an internal 3G modem.

Alice on the iPad: Is This the Future of Books?

I don’t have an iPad, but watching this amazing video (embedded below) demonstrating the Alice in Wonderland app made me want to run out and get one — and if I had a young child, it would make me want to get one even faster. I know that many people believe reading should be a quiet and relaxing activity, and that there’s nothing quite like communing with the pages of a well-read classic, but this video makes reading “Alice in Wonderland” look like…well, it looks like a lot of fun
